The world was in Danger, in dying need of a savior. It was slowly being destroyed. Then the “Armaged-10” hit, destroying all, bringing an end to the madness of the wicked Earth. Shattering everything, leaving nothing but 10 Golden laws.

The smoke clears following the explosion, but with little evidence of past life. All that remains is the “Aftermath” of 6 individual stones. These stones stood side by side to be the creators of a new found territory, known as Iota land. By following the 10 Golden laws these stones will build nations of a tradition, not resting upon the solidarity of the stones but forever building on . . .

The men of the Delta Beta Chapter stormed into the brotherhood of Iota Phi Theta on February 13, 1999 at 7:00pm in Kean Hall of the Floyd Payne Campus Center at Tennessee State University.10 men who were already college friends, decided to start a dynasty on campus that will become one of the most dynamic group of men to ever attend Tennessee State University. It was a period on campus where Greek life was at an all time low, students needed guidance and the community and the university was in dying need for mature men to step up and become leaders. The men of I.S.ARMAGED-10 decided that they would no longer allow men on the campus of Tennessee State University to be deprived of a brotherhood that fit their mold and personality. Other organizations were not staying true to their deeds causing a bitter taste in people’s mouths about Greek life. All the 8 Greek letter organizations were presently on campus, but none fitting the mold and persona of what it was to be an individual. Seeing this, I.S.ARMAGED-10 sought out to find an organization to come to TSU and make the biggest impact ever providing change to the undergraduate Greek life at TSU. The powerful men with identities before pledging, positive influences on campus, and proven leadership skills connected to form the strongest brotherhood on campus. These men possessed a high level of maturity being that 7 of the 10 founders were juniors about to become seniors with loads of responsibilities. They majored in the following disciplines: Computer Science (Pierre, Reginald, Jimmy, Keith), Accounting (Dedric), Health Care Administration and Planning (Don), Education (Michael), Music (Bradley), Management (Derrick), and Theater (Brandon Hayes). They started with 21 interested, moving to 16, and then leaving the strong to survive of 10 members. This proved their dedication to the establishment of IOTA.

Shortly after, there were many students seeking admission into IOTA. Once it was all said and done, only the most worthy candidates were selected to join this DYNAMIC DYNASTY! 6 qualified Centaurs were chosen to be apart of the AFTERMATH. These Academically sound mature men leaped into IOTA, carrying the tradition their founders firmly built. They were named, I.S. AFTERMATH! They’re total GPA combined was a 3.25. These 6 centaurs will carry the torch of this ‘DYNAMIC DYNASTY’ representing IOTA to the fullest. These men were: Brian Frazier (Communications), Diego Rhodes (Mechanical Engineering), Barron Dill (Architectural Engineering), Lennox Jackson (Electrical Engineering), Bryan Crawford (Management), Larry Iweorah (Respiratory Therapist).

Full-filling all the criteria of the National Organization, they then became an official chapter given the Letters ‘DELTA BETA’ on August 15 at the National Summer Conference in Hampton, Virginia. The motto for the chapter is, The “Dynamic Dynasty” of the ‘Delta Beta’ Chapter of Tennessee State University.

Today over 64 members have graduated in 20 years of its foundation proving that these men were dynamic and focused throughout their matriculation. All 64 members are well established citizens determined and motivated to help society. These men have shown and proven to know what it takes to be successful in today’s society. They leave a legacy tough to follow, selecting only established, well-rounded individuals who have what it takes to keep this tradition ongoing. The world has yet to see the potential of the Delta Beta Chapter.
